ANTI-CHOICE PREGNANCY CENTERS

Across the US, more than 2,700 crisis pregnancy centers, which go by a variety of names, counsel pregnant clients against having an abortion. These centers are an essential part of the crusade to end access to legal abortions. One network of centers aims “to make abortion unwanted today and unthinkable for future generations.”

Center ads and descriptions are frequently deceptive, luring people in with free services. Some centers hide their anti-abortion purpose, provide false information, and/or offer ultrasounds so that they appear to be licensed medical clinics when they are not.

Increasingly, these centers are securing public funding meant for comprehensive reproductive health care. With our tax dollars, people who visit such a center receive limited services and misleading guidance about their options.

Talk to friends, family, local officeholders, and community organizations about these anti-choice centers near you.
